About the map

This map shows the area an Emergency Mobile Alert was sent to. It does not show things like evacuation areas or weather warnings.

Emergency Mobile Alerts are sent to you by cell towers in the targeted area. You may not receive an Alert if you are not connected to a cell tower in the targeted area. Or, if your phone is connected to a cell tower in the targeted area, you may get an Alert even if you're not physically in the area.

Because you can get an Alert if you're not in the affected area, you should always read the Alert. It will describe the area at risk and what action you need to take.

About Emergency Mobile Alert

Emergency Mobile Alerts are messages about emergencies. They are sent by authorised emergency agencies to mobile phones and SIM-connected devices.

Emergency Mobile Alerts keep people safe. They are broadcast from targeted cell towers to areas affected by serious hazards. You may not receive an alert if you are out of mobile coverage, mobile phone towers are damaged, or there is a power outage.
